Wales are considering naming Scarlets centre Joe Roberts on the wing for the Six Nations finale against England on Saturday.
There are expected to be minimal starting changes when interim head coach names his side on Thursday with Aaron Wainwright in line to start in the back-row alongside Jac Morgan and Taulupe Faletau.
Roberts, 24, has not started a professional game on the wing but impressed after coming as a 10th minute replacement for Tom Rogers in the 35-29 loss to Scotland at Murrayfield.
Rogers was ruled out of the England game after suffering a fractured thumb, while Josh Adams is still missing after sustaining a hamstring injury in training and has not featured since the opening two Six Nations games.
Full-back Liam Williams had been ruled out of the tournament after he suffered a knee injury in the competition opener against France.
Sherratt opted not to call up any reinforcements this week with Gloucester wing Josh Hathaway the only specialist option remaining but Roberts is set to fill the role on Saturday.
Cardiff full-back Cameron Winnett and Dragons wing Rio Dyer have been overlooked for this campaign.
